Creeksides Big Bad White Release

Published: 2011-07-26 23:37:55

Mark June 11th and 12th on your calendar right now. No, we’re serious, you do not want to miss the release of these wines. Arguably the biggest, baddest wine release in Creekside’s ten year history, this June’s lineup will blow your mind and fill out your cellar.
The wines scheduled for this release are:

  • 2000 “X” Blanc de Blancs ($49.95) — our 10 year old sparkling is chomping at the bit to show off its extended lees aging and amazing complexity
  • 2008 Undercurrent Viognier ($18.95 for 375mL) — we held this new French oak fermented and aged Viognier out of the now sold out 2008 Reserve blend because it was just so incredibly over the top. How far can we push Viognier? Try this little experiment and find out.
  • 2009 Laura White ($18.95) — a great white wine year, 2009 screamed for the production of a Laura White. This blend of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling and Viognier is a firecracker of a white assemblage.
  • 2008 Reserve Pinot Gris ($26.95) — surprising delicate, this barrel fermented and aged Gris shows great balance and considerable character
  • 2009 Reserve Viognier ($29.95) — Cuvée award winner for Best Viognier and Best Limited Edition White this year, the 2009 Reserve is a very limited production…get it while it lasts! Aromatic, with impressive mouthfeel and stunning presence.
All of these wines were produced in very small quantities, making them some of our rarest whites made to date! For all those who have been stalking us for 10 years (in the case of the sparkling), since Cuvée (in the case of the Reserve Viognier), or in general for our quirky Undercurrent and barrel fermented whites: this is your chance. Don’t say we didn’t warn you when they sell out!
