The 2018 vintage was something for the books. After a pretty hot summer, mother nature let loose and brought quite a bit of rain in the fall. It was a scramble to get everything in before the next rainfall and picking dates were important. Careful vineyard management helped make this beautiful, delicate wine. Syrah was co-fermented with some Viognier skins that were already lightly pressed. Aged in mostly older French oak barrels for 20 months before the selected barrels were blended.
